July - Let the holidays commence (for many)

It’s that time of year when many of you go off on your holidays or look forward to time away or time out to rest and relax. Enjoy spending quality time with your families. Schedule in some ‘me’ time to indulge yourself in your favourite pastimes. Make the most of the good weather we are having. Return feeling re-energised and rested.
Time for reflection, growth and honesty…
11 years ago today, I posted a quote online… ‘Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for… – Joseph Addison. Accompanied with an image of ‘ducks in a row’. I stand by this.
That’s how I have felt this month… like I’ve been getting my ducks in a row. The business has kept me busy doing new things, meeting new and interesting people – something I’ve loved, and enquiry calls have given me hope for the future.
Another month has passed by so quickly at TC-HQ and things feel like they are starting to happen.
Honestly, slower than I would have hoped (patience is something I am working on), obstacles a few, lessons learned many, but as I see it at this point in time, I am establishing my way and who could have predicted a record-breaking heatwave that caught everyone by surprise?
Since my last blog, here is a flavour of what I have been up to…
Reset & Relax
‘Reset & Relax’ sessions were launched at Whitley Bay Big Local and despite interest, it just wasn’t the right time. Further expressions of interest have followed since, and we are looking at possible dates for September once everyone gets back to their usual routines.
Despite the disappointment that our initial Wallsend venue is no longer able to host the sessions, alternative venues across the Wallsend and East Benton area have been explored. The initiative has been warmly welcomed, and subject to interest and venue availability, we'd love to get some dates in the diary soon.
If you would like to take part, please let me know your preferences on afternoons or evenings and location. Remember, it’s good to find time for you. You deserve it. Please keep a watch for updates to follow.
Thanks to all the local businesses who advertised the wellbeing sessions. Your support and encouragement have been appreciated.
Community Connections
It is exciting to announce that I will be working alongside local organisations – Working Well & Smart Works, hosting a ‘Time to Pause’ workshop on 11 August at the Wallsend Library. A supportive space for anyone wanting to better understand perimenopause and menopause, reflect on their wellbeing, and feel more confident navigating this transition. I am looking forward to meeting with many of you there.
Networking
Networking has featured a lot this month, meeting some inspirational and truly amazing people from all different walks of life and business sectors, from North Tyneside Business Forum New Business Coffee Morning, Canva Introduction Group at The Millin Charity, Ladies on the Edge, and the Women of Steel – Newcastle. I am so grateful to all to have been made to feel so welcomed at all events. Thank you.
Personal Growth
This month also saw the completion of my final assignment on my current course. Challenging yourself to do something new and outside of your usual realm is good for growth and interest but fitting it around everything else has certainly been a challenge. I got there in the end.
Pausing to rest allows you to remember to acknowledge how far you’ve already come.
What ducks have you been getting into a row recently? I'd love to hear.
