Tales of the Unexpected

Sometimes when everything seems to be going well, life has a habit of taking you by surprise, dealing you an unexpected turn. I have been reminded of this over the past week and whilst things may still be unknown, I have had an opportunity to pause and reflect.

We may not always like what is happening at the time, but how we react to sudden events and changes can influence how we move forward.

Whilst unexpected events and change may well bring about some level of stress and overwhelm, we can take some comfort in familiar routines. So, with that in mind, albeit a little late this month, I write another blog post… Blog 4…

Here at TC-HQ, I am pleased to say that there has been much positive activity going on this month. I continue to meet with some lovely and interesting people from all walks of life and in many local and business capacities.

If you need a service referral, please do not hesitate to ask as if I don’t know someone now, I am certain I know someone who does!

Building connections and support is so important and it is so reassuring to know you can ask for help if and when needed.

Time to Pause – the Menopause Workshop took place and gave me a great opportunity to research the latest information and statistics about perimenopause and the support available, especially in the workplace. Many women I have spoken to have told me that they wish they had known more… and that someone had told them what to expect… what help was available… what choices they had for support.

Whilst changes happen for women physically, emotionally and psychologically, it was good to examine how this life transition can be seen and responded to as a positive redirection.

Furthermore, it is great that this topic is creating worthwhile conversations, is a focus across the media and that education and changes to support women are being implemented. The important message is that ‘you are not alone’. Please do reach out if you would like more information or support in this respect.

Taking care of yourself plays a big part in resilience to any change.

As the summer holiday season begins to draw to a close, parents start to think about the children going back to school, and the children think about playing out as late as they can as the cooler nights begin to draw in. August, although nearly over, has been the National Wellness Month. Did you get an opportunity to make one small change? If nothing else, I do hope that you have at least had an opportunity to rest and take a break - especially as this month seems to have flown by.

Following further expressions of interest, I am hoping to announce a new September date for the Reset & Relax wellbeing session at Whitley Bay Big Local very soon. Watch this space and Facebook for more details.

Likewise Walk & Talk coaching sessions have successfully launched, making the most of the better weather whilst we can. If you are interested in these, please message me for a free initial enquiry call.

Whilst we may not always be able to plan for unexpected events or change, we can build on our daily wellbeing habits, we can connect and support each other, and perhaps begin to see change as a redirection, even though it may not be easy at the time.

Enjoy the rest of August. 😊
