We are fast approaching the fortnight mark since we went live here at TC-HQ and wow how fast that time has flown by… I am so excited at the prospect of working with others both online and in the local community, and hopefully soon 1 to 1 in person.
Setting up on my own seemed like a daunting prospect initially with so much to think about, when all I want to do is help people.
As cliché as that may sound it is what makes me happy. But I soon found I was not on my own, the support and encouragement I have received from friends, family and the local community have been truly inspiring and have meant a lot, resulting in this space here, The Clarity Corner.
Being a Life Coach has already brought me so many opportunities for personal growth, I have learned so much over the last few weeks in particular and have met with some wonderful people with interesting back stories.
I have taken to wearing so many new ‘hats’, some of which have been a steep learning curve (not having an instant hotline to IT or a Marketing team for example), but despite the 'tech crash' and the need to learn a few more ‘tips and tricks’, it has not held me back.
One learning I have reinforced recently is that ‘it is better to have a go, and not be perfect, than to not have go, and miss out altogether’, the other is ‘talking with people in person and collaborating on ideas is productive and exciting.’
With this week being Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May), I challenged myself to act (theme being take action) and produce a post a day on Facebook to raise awareness, to show daily actions can make a difference, and to offer a free chat to anyone who might feel the need for support.
It is my hope that with your continued support and engagement with these posts over the week, ‘we’ will reach a wider audience so as to support others - the ripple effect.
The business cards have already been in use when out and about networking in the local community and here at TC-HQ there has been a steady stream of activity behind the scenes. I will tell you more about this on another day.
For now, it’s a bit of self-care time – which is 'oh so important'. For me, that usually looks like a run, a walk, gym classes or reflection time.
Feel free to contact me though, I’d love to hear from you — connection and conversation are also so important.
Take care.
